Jim Mullen

Now in his 80th year, Multi award-winning guitarist Jim Mullen has toured and recorded the globe with many artists in a career spanning more than 50 years. US and UK artists Including, Gene Harris, Terry Callier, Mose Allison, Frank Wess, Johnny Griffin, Brian Auger, Kokomo, Average White Band, Herbie Mann, Van Morrison, Jimmy Smith, Georgie Fame, Claire Martin. Jim shared a 15 year partnership with saxophonist Dick Morrissey, in their much loved band Morrissey Mullen throughout the late 70's /80's.  Jim has recorded many albums under his own name with many now leading UK musicians.

Jim is a multiple winner of "Best Guitar" at the British jazz awards, taking the title across the 1990s and 2000s. Critics have called him simply one of the great jazz guitarists working today. Warm, lyrical, and endlessly inventive - equally at home caressing a ballad or improvising at full tilt - Mullen is a booking for anyone who loves the instrument played at its absolute peak. This is the real thing: a genuine British jazz great, live and within arm's reach.
