The Vince Dunn Orchestra

The Vince Dunn Orchestra gave last year's festival a massive show. Vince is, of course, the festival's musical director and has multiple projects and bands running at any one time - but popular demand left us in no doubt: the Orchestra had to come back. For thirty years, Vince Dunn has been at the heart of British music - a drummer and bandleader who's shared stages with names as varied as Courtney Pine, Cleo Laine, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and Pharrell Williams. That pedigree is exactly what you hear when the Orchestra takes the stage: an eleven-piece powerhouse moving effortlessly from classic big-band swing to Latin, funk and soul, with a horn section that hits like a freight train and a rhythm section that simply doesn't quit. This is music made to be experienced live and loud. Last year it didn't take long before the whole room was swinging - and Vince and the band have built this year's set to do it all over again, only bigger.
