A brand-new show making its festival debut! Fifty years of the Piano Man himself, in one unstoppable night. From the opening bars of "Piano Man" to the full-throated roar of "Uptown Girl," "Just the Way You Are," "We Didn't Start the Fire" and "Only the Good Die Young," this is Billy Joel's songbook played the way it was meant to be heard - loud, warm, and built for a room that knows every word. The show recreates the spirit of Billy's legendary 2008 farewell at Shea Stadium: the night he closed New York's most storied venue, with Paul McCartney walking on for the final encore. It was billed as "The Last Play at Shea," and this band brings that same sense of occasion - the swagger, the singalongs, and a finale designed to lift the roof. Fronting the show is Tom Morton on vocals and piano, leading a band whose CVs read like a festival line-up in their own right. Between them, these players have toured and recorded with Sting, Elton John, Eric Clapton and Joe Cocker. This isn't a covers act going through the motions - it's seasoned professionals, turned loose on the catalogue of one of the greatest songwriters of the last half-century. Expect the hits. Expect the harmonies. Expect to lose your voice. Tom Morton (vocals, piano) · Mark Roadnight (guitar, vocals) · James Smith (drums) · David McLeod (bass) · Nichola Pope (sax, keys, vocals).
