Ronnie Scott's Blues Explosion

Straight from the world's most famous jazz club to Midhurst. Since 2008, the Blues Explosion has been the house blues band at Ronnie Scott's in Soho, where their monthly residency remains one of the hottest tickets on Frith Street. Co-led by guitarist and vocalist Marcus Bonfanti (Ten Years After) and pianist and vocalist Paddy Milner (Tom Jones), with the incendiary Tony Remy (Jack Bruce, Annie Lennox) completing a twin-guitar frontline, this is a band whose collective CV reads like a who's who of British music: Eric Clapton, Van Morrison, Jools Holland, Ginger Baker. Expect an electrifying journey through the blues — from the Delta to Chicago, New Orleans funk to the British boom — channelling BB King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Peter Green, Albert Collins and Dr. John. With a full horn section punching behind them, this isn't a polite tribute; it's a celebration played at full voltage by musicians at the very top of their game. This incredible blues line-up also includes Nick Cohen (bass), Ian Matthews (drums), Winston Rollins (trombone and horn arrangements), Derek Nash (saxes) and George Hogg (trumpet).
